Today, The Family Policy Council of West Virginia joined our friends to serve as the voice for the voiceless at the 2022 March for Life in Washington D.C.
We united with Pastor Bo Burgess, Director of West Virginia Baptists for Biblical Values, along with Fr. Doug Ondeck and Sadie Shields of St. Patrick Church in Weston. We were also thankful to everyone who stood with us on this significant and historic day.
“Today was a very important day in America. We marked the 49th anniversary of Roe, and we pray that this will be its last. We pray that it will not see 50,” FPCWV President Caiden Cowger stated.
“We will be doing everything that we can in the upcoming session to establish greater restrictions on abortion.
This year, at a bare minimum, we plan to establish restrictions on abortions that replicate the Mississippi ban, until we get the green light from the United States Supreme Court to apply greater protections.
Under my tenure as President of The Family Policy Council, I’m dedicated to seeing the ban of abortion in the state of West Virginia. Every year, over 1,000 babies are slaughtered by the bloodstained hands of pseudo-practitioners in our state’s only remaining abortion clinic. We cannot allow the slaughtering of innocent life to continue in West Virginia. Mark my words, we will drive them out of our state.
As adults, we have a moral obligation to protect the littlest and most innocent ones among us. When we fail to protect the lives of infants, we forfeit our God-given responsibilities and enable those who rob precious infants of life. This must end, and we will not rest until it does.”
It is our heartfelt prayer that this will be our last march under the disastrous Roe decision. Abortion will come to an end in West Virginia, and we will keep fighting until the most innocent lives among us are protected.
