The Family Policy Council of WV was founded in 2006 as a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization with a clear and unwavering mission: to fight for our families and communities. Since our inception, we have worked to uphold the values that define and strengthen the social fabric of our state—faith, family, and freedom. We believe that strong families are the bedrock of a free and thriving society, and we are committed to defending the principles that preserve our cultural heritage and constitutional liberties.
Over the years, The Family Policy Council has become West Virginia’s largest and most trusted advocate for family policies. Our legislative accomplishments include securing increased penalties for crimes against children, multiple protections for the unborn, and supporting the growth of faith-based education. These victories reflect our deep commitment to creating a state where life is respected, children are protected, and parents have the freedom to raise and educate their children according to their values.
Our work is rooted in the conviction that public policy should serve the people—not political elites, special interests, or bureaucratic agendas. We serve to equip citizens with the tools to make their voices heard and ensuring that lawmakers remain accountable to the values of the people they represent. Whether it’s organizing grassroots campaigns, or educating communities on vital issues, we are proud to lead the fight for West Virginia families in every corner of our state.
At its core, The Family Policy Council exists to defend our God-given rights and constitutional freedoms. We believe religious liberty is not just a principle—it is a pillar of American life. That is why we champion the right of individuals and organizations to live out their faith without government interference. In an age where cultural confusion and moral relativism threaten to undermine truth, we are a voice of clarity, conviction, and reason.
