The Family Policy Council of WV opposed this amendment as it is meant to begin hormonal experiments on minors under the age of 18, in preparation for eventual sex-change surgeries. These therapies have been shown to place children at a higher risk for mortality, suicide, and can result in the permanent sterilization of victims who endured this unethical practice.
